These values shape who we are and what we do
Connect
We enourage each member to make every effort to get connected with others in the congregation so that personal relationships are developed. We truly believe that we are a family and we want you to find your purpose. This can be accomplished in many ways by participation in church events, working with one of our many ministries, social events outside of church, or by doing one of our Life Groups. We want every person of any age, to feel they are an important part of the Merrick Drive Family.
Grow
Our goal is to grow spiritually every day and draw closer to God as we strive to grow closer to each other. Deepening our faith in God and in His word can be accomplished through spiritual opportunities such as Life Groups, adult bible classes, worship services, and personal study. The involvement these weekly opportunities is crucial to the development of one’s individual faith.
serve
Jesus gave us the example of how we need to live our lives and that example is one of a servant. We want to serve each other and our community whenever we have the opportunity. Areas where God can use your hands include work projects, mission trips, Good Neighbor projects and serving at the Soup Kitchen. Allowing God to use as His hands will help us show the love of God to our community.
share
The most important task that was given to the disciples was to go out and share the good news. We must equip ourselves to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world around us. Whether we are at work, at play, in school, or in our neighborhoods, we have the opportunity to show Christ to our community through our words and actions. Being active in worship service, bible classes, and personal study is essential for this to occur.
